Our Clinic

Our clinic is privately owned by radiologists Dr. Alasdair Leighton, Dr. Greg Shand, and Dr. Shehab Elshazly, and was established more than 40 years ago. As a progressive, privately owned community imaging centre, Phoenix Medical Imaging has expanded to include ultrasound in addition to X-ray services. In 2005, we moved our thriving clinic to its current location in order to accommodate our diagnostic modalities in one central clinic. This also allowed Phoenix Medical Imaging to switch to a digital environment. The utilization of PACS film storage (Picture Archiving Communications System) and computerized radiography and ultrasound enables quick and easy electronic exchange of examinations and reports within our clinic and with the referring physicians. Images and reports are easily distributed to family doctors as well as specialists within and beyond our Northern Health Authority.
